Highlander Shock Replacement

I bought KYB-ExcelG for my highlander front shocks and while replacing them I realized that the strut support assembly has 2 arrows marking the front and the spring seat marker as OUT.

The spring seat has a margin of +/- 5 degrees from the OUT markout, does it have to be this accurate, I kept the OUT facing outside and installed the shock.

Did you have a 4 wheel alignment done after your installation? I think this is the purpose of the markings. FWIW
