I work from home and don't drive much so I never get to 10,000mi in a year (hence the low-mile OCI). I've had the car for 3 years since 67,000mi. My first two OCIs were with OEM VW 5w40 (Castrol); no idea what was in it for the first 67,000mi but it must have been good based on this. I know it's not a lot of data but I thought I'd post it anyway since I didn't see any other UOAs from VWs with the 3.6 FSI VR6 engine. I'll be back next year with another one!

Agree. Or just change it every 8000 miles, that should be safe with that stout version of M1. Thanks for the post.
 
Thanks all. Agreed, the oil has a lot of life left in it but for me it's easiest to remember/schedule in if I change it annually since all the rest of the maintenance items are X years or Y miles. Hope to keep this one running like new for a good long time.
