Several of the zerks on a 2004 Suburban are on top of part needing grease and pointing upwards and my grease gun hose will not bend enough to position to fit on the zerk !Is there a recommended grease gun and hose that is more user friendly for do-it your selfer mechanics ?

They make 90degree adapters but you could just as easily get some angle zerks from AA, AZ, NAPA, etc.
1/4-28 angle zerks from Fastenall fit Moog joints a lot better than the little boxes of multiple sizes from AA.

The best is 2 hoses joined by a coupling on a pistol grip gun(not a lever action). That way you can hold the coupling if you have to and don't have to try to hold the gun within 18 inches (or however long the hose is). It's a lot less awkward.

I just went through this mess with my truck. After buying the 90° coupler, I remembered I planned on just replacing zerk fittings with 90° angle fittings Would've cost 10% of what I spent LOL.
