+1......I've used 0w20 oils (M-1 and QSUD) year round for several years now in my 03' Ford Focus....works perfectly in summer and winter.

Last week we had our first snow here in Central Oregon (elevation 3600')....and our night temperatures went down to below 0 degrees. Started my engine (my vehicle in NOT garaged), and it turned over immediately, just like it does in the summer.

I use a Fram Ultra filter (two OCI's), which works perfectly in all seasons.

Yes, winter fronts used to be SOP here. I still have one laying around for the F-150, although it really doesn't need it. It doesn't struggle with temperatures in the least.

And the thermostat suggestion is valid. It could have been lazy in the summer and you never noticed. As it cools off, it'll give you grief. Ask me how I know.
