Hi,

I need a fuel resistant sealant. My fuel tank is leaking from where the fuel pump is fitted into the tank and it is not possible to buy an original cut gasket. Because the flanges are not super stiff (sheet metal), I need a sealant which is able to bridge over some larger gaps and stay flexible - similar to RTV sealant.

Can anyone recommend a product?

There is a product called "seal all" which I found at my local Napa. I didn't need it so I returned it unused. Search for it on Google.

I'd suggest buying a sheet of gasket material in the appropriate thickness and cutting the shape you need.

Permatex 80019 Aviation Form-A-Gasket No. 3 would be good too, but like the Hylomar already mentioned above you have to use a gasket with these sealants. The Motoseal does not need a gasket.
