I also think the coach of the football team should be replaced with a 'qualified minority' since he backed the 'demands'...

I would consider them major HYPOCRITES if they do not....

It's quite a reasonable demand.

Not many on BITOG have commented on the blatant HYPOCRISY of these professors who urge 'change' but won't give up their job
to help bring it about...

My brother works for the Veterans Administration and everything is quota based.
Some employees are impossible to fire, even it they harmed a patient by their carelessness.

Here in Wisconsin, finally, tenure is being chipped away. The whole idea of a guaranteed job was disgusting from the beginning.

Professors and universities want "free" tuition, just as they have all been strong advocates for federal financial aid including student loans. It's like withholding on your paycheck - if you had to sit down and actually write out a check for your taxes at the end of the year there would be a revolt tomorrow. But just like when it is withheld at each pay period (and you even get a refund!), when tuition is masked and funded by some mechanism other than parents and students writing checks, then are free to raise tuition at will, as they have.

We have a website here too where you can look up any public educator's salary. It is downright ludicrous what is being paid to many in education, all the while what you hear on the news is lamenting about how tough it is.

I couldn't agree more. State and Federal workers Unions are nothing more than socialist enclaves.

When you have people insulated/isolated from reality, anyything can be free.

This whole thought process stems from a socialist democracy (Ber*San) worldview.

When the demonstrating students do graduate, wonder if the Human Resource Department will be pulling their pic from all the demonstrations looking for their faces? Would be interesting in an interview, would it not?

Steely Dan had it right all along.

Have you ever noticed these protesters/demanders are always a very small minority (very low percentage of total student population) of students but the mainstream media portrays these groups as being the majority?

In my view, this is a symptom of the teachings of radical propagandist professors and campus anarchists. I hesitate to call them "activists" since this has come to mean something entirely different.

Universities should re-instate their "no-learn, not welcome" policies.

And require Liberal Arts students to take at least one Physics course. They will not have time to be demonstrating for freebies and special treatment.

Yes, I have. But the majority don't rock the boat, so they aren't noticed.

Now that's an idea! I'd say, make it a freshman class, perhaps even first semester. Weed 'em out early as a service to themselves or whoever is going to foot the college bill.

I must respectfully disagree. They are classless trash.

I couldn't agree more!! Just a bunch of lazy bums with too much time on their hands. I just can't fathom a grown adult who won't work. They need to be productive and go flip burgers or bag groceries or something. So pathetic!

I'll take it down even further....they are what you get on your shoe in a crowded dog park.

I'll agree with that and go one step further. Make them hold a job too. If they refuse to work, kick them out of school. All grown adults should have a job.

They got kicked off the front page before they received their full 15 minutes. TFB. Will the PC university give them "credit" for the time they spent roughing up reporters so they don't flunk out. Probably.

Naw, they have probably all been there for at least seven years.
Double Secret probation all around per Dean Wormer.
