I bought some Coverking taupe leatherette seat covers for the front seats on my 2012 Honda Accord EX-L. I plan on keeping this car for a long time so I want the leather to stay in good shape. If anyone is interested I will post pics at a later date, it was too dark to get any decent shots tonight. They fit pretty well, not perfect but they are a far cry from a universal cover. I think the cloth variants of these could fit better because cloth is more versatile than leatherette but these look a bit more classy than cloth. Anyway I will share pics in a couple days or so, maybe sooner if I find the time. Just wanted to put this out there if anybody is looking for seat covers.

Was doing this, but wear was happening more quickly than I had hoped for.

I know what is going to happen... you're car when old, will end up having brand new seats when you send it to scrap!! My dad always had seat covers and removed them when sending car to scrap.. they looked brand new.. although he didn't have leather seats...

Yup, or when you sell it so that the next owner can enjoy the nice factory seats while you put up with seat covers. Sounds backwards to me.

Save the covers when it gets old and worn. What is the point of preserving the seats underneath.

I could see a rear seat cover if little ones are back there to save it.

I see both sides, but for me knowing that the seats are being protected is worth it. I would be less happy watching the leather wear away in front of my eyes. Besides, Ill take them off every now and again to clean / condition the leather and I will enjoy the leather then

They look awesome. How much were they? If I were keeping the VW I'd get a set. The Camry has cloth and the seats look pretty good for 200k+ miles. They aren't very comfortable but oh well.

I hate the covers on my civic. They're just cheap universals I got because I get in and out of my car a lot for work and was starting a rip at the seam. Maybe I should just ante up the money for a set of quality custom fit covers. The cheap universal ones move around too much and end up making like a hammock where the bottom cushion and seatback meet. Uncomfortable... But they were cheap and definitely saved my seats from further damage.

They feel very durable.

They definitely look the part from the pictures and it looks like the material is fairly thick.
My first reaction to your thread was "Seat covers? Yuck!" and I'm sure others had similar reaction, but these are nice and look OEM like. If you don't mind, keep us posted on how thy wear in and hold up.

I'm not a fan of seat covers, even as nice ones as these, but having three kids puts a lot of wear and tear on the interior so it's always good to know the options available to alleviate some of that wear.
