Not sure if this is in the right forum but here goes. The brake warning light in the IC of my 2004 Suburban is constantly on, but very dim. It is barely visible even in total darkness. Brake fluid is up, but old. Electrical or brake issue, your thoughts?

Does the light get brighter when you use the e-brake?

What if you disconnect the level sensor on the master cylinder?

Yes because it glows even with ignition off and key out

It does get brighter when I use the parking brake.

Probably a bad sensor. Ford had cars burning up while parked because of this. Not to worry you or anything.....

That was because Ford ran voltage through the switch for the cruise control, not an issue in this application.
