I have to admit that when I see these prices, I certainly appreciate the prices that I find in the US:

The impossible to find Mobil Delvac 1 ESP (but with the dust I see on this jub, it seems obvious it is not a hot seller):

Interesting how Castrol GTX is the same price as the U.S.

I wouldn't be using a synthetic in Canada with those prices.

You better use synthetic in the -20/-30f weather

Those Motomaster bottles look cool.

Interesting how the M1 jugs are the international bottle design and not the US jugs. Yet, the M1 quarts are the same as ours.

Edge Black comes in 5L, but Edge Gold is only 4.4L.

Are the non-diesel M1 jugs 5L or 4.4L? Hard to tell.

5 litre bottles and Canadian dollars. Take about %35 - %40 off those prices to do a comparison. GTX and Formula 1 synthetic look like reasonable deals when you take this into account.

It was 13.99 last week. Better than the U.S.?

^^^^ This is true everyone.

Mobil Delvac 1 0W40 is sometimes on sale for 28.99 but that's about it.

Everything automotive is more expensive here. We are so happy in my area that regular gas is down to $0.956 CAD per litre. That works out to $3.618 CAD per US Gallon..or approximately $2.71 USD per US gallon. Whoo Hoo!!

Gas here is down to $1.669 USD/US gal.
People still complain about high taxes.
What's strange about this is that the US imports a substantial part of its daily crude consumption from Canada.

if you evened out the gas taxes our gas would be similarly priced to the US, we pay way more tax per L than the south.

I see that the Motomaster synthetic is on sale 50% off. Just grab that and be on your way. Its SOPUS and great quality.

..the others aren't even worth considering at the regular prices.

In Canada the Mobil 1 jugs are usually 4.4 Liter (most common) or 4 liter. They usually sell a pack with the 4.4L jug and an extra 1 L bottle shrink wrapped to it for around $35 Cdn.

Except you guys in Canada cannot take anything off--this is your native currency

. The jugs in the US are also right at 5 liters.

Every one of those oils goes on sale 30-40% off every few months. No one pays those prices. (notice the dust on the Delvac)

Also, min wage is like $12 an hour, so its all relative

True in Europe as well.
It's not the fuel that's expensive, it's the taxes.

That's why I buy as little as possible from them, and haven't bought a drop there for years. I shouldn't have to wait for them to be kind enough to offer a sale.

Look at the Delvac 1 picture. I pay half of that every day of the week.

Why not? Look at the gold colored jug in pic 2, 5 liters synthetic is $21.99
