Sylvania turn signal bulbs amber coating

Replaced the front blinker bulbs on my Accord today. Not sure if this is common with all amber bulbs or if it's just my car, but the old dead Sylvania 1157As had their amber coating flaking off in various places; so much so they basically became clear turn signal bulbs. Mind you they were old bulbs but something I haven't seen before. New bulbs are also Sylvanias since they were cheap at Wally World. It's nice having amber turn signals again.

The NA part numbers the glass is actually amber. The A numbers only have a amber coating on them.

IIRC all the new bulbs are NA aka 3157NA etc.

Wow... learned something new today! The 'NA' would be a better choice if it's available in the size/socket you need.
