Doing a brake job soon. I picked up some Sil-Glyde from NAPA the other day after seeing great reviews on Amazon. Turns out, it's apparently only got a very low silicone content?

Thinking about returning it and getting something else, such as this Ford XG-3-A silicone brake caliper grease.

Or should I just stick with the Sil-Glyde?

My Napa guy sold me some Kleen-Flo Eze-Slide Part# 331. I've used it only a few times. I think it works good. Looking at the MSDS it only contains 5-10% silicone.

Use the Sil-Glyde, everyone else does.

3m silicone/dielectric paste, nice brush applicator and the tub will last the rest of your life

I've had good results with both but switched completely to the XG3A a few years back.

Jet-Lube has a silicone paste, also. And for much less money. Somebody needs to test mule it.

Why even waste your time if you are going to post a response like that?

Here, this will be more helpful than that

Did you even look at the results before you posted your condescending response?

The top 5 results are 7, 4, 12, 4, and 11 years old, respectively.

There's already at least 12 years' worth of discussion about this...
