wondering if there's any real difference in protection or seal reguvantion and or if anyone has done oil analysis on both...
I need gm4718 im unsure if they are they say they are both dexos1 which superseeds gm4718 but i dont see how cause gm4718 is full synthetic and dexos1 i believe is just a blend... i guess this is besides the point tho...

From what I can see, the Valvoline MaxLife semi-synthetic is the on Dexos-1 tested.

I don't believe either are rated any higher than API SN. Both are now resource conserving but somehow the Castrol is still thick for grade if you like that.

thankyou is is the only oil i have found to be dexos1/gm4718... is there any difference between the two for which offer's more seal rejuvenation ??

Probably the blend... But we'd need some really complex chemical analysis to know, unless Ashland wants to say, which they won't ...
