3000gt vr4 sputters at 3000rpm

My '93 3000gt vr4 sputters at 3000rpm, car feels like it has no engine power, car jerks and shakes until you let off the throttle. But...if you pin the gas pedal down it accelerates like normal. It does it in every gear, and neutral, but much less while in neutral. Any ideas???

Sell the car to me dirt cheap is an idea.

TPS/o2/MAP/MAF... sensor or wiring issue... vacuum leak..

Aounds like tps to me. Had the jeep do that to me.

First off clean your throttle body. Second clean your MAF sensor. Third check tps sweep with a volt meter and make sure there is no diectric grease or other contamination in the connection. I would also mention vacuum hoses n such but you should notice it more at idle than 3k rpm.

Edit: i should mention that what you are looking for when you take that meter to you tps is a smooth and consistent change in resistance. If you see a deviation or drop then you know it is bad.

I think it sounds like a lean fuel mixture and would check the fuel filter, fuel pressure and possibly the fuel pump. Ed
