I am resurrecting this thread from the dead for the benefit of others, because the idle hang issue is such a [censored] to get a final resolution on. It came and went for the last two years, but I was finally got rid of it for good.

There are a few solutions that are so simple, they get overlooked in the race to throw parts at the problem.

1. Clean the harness side connector for your TPS sensor with a good electrical contact cleaner, like DeOxit. Turn it facing up and let it soak, then flush it again. You could replace the connector too if you want (I didn't). Even a tiny bit of dirt or corrosion makes a difference here. We're talking millivolts.

2. Make sure the screws that hold your TPS sensor are tight. Not just snug, but put some muscle into it. Otherwise, the wiper inside the sensor doesn't get pressed firmly into the resistance contact.

3. This one will drive you nuts. Make sure your A/C is properly charged. Mine wasn't and the compressor was cycling on the low pressure switch.
