I see some specials that combine oil with them. I always figured the regular stp filters were junk.

Definitely NOT worth the price of Fram Ultra.
Cheap Korean filter, and there's no 7317 size in either STP (they consolidate to the shorty 6607). Also, even though it says Champion Labs on the box, they're not actually made by that company (confirmed by someone on here that works for them).
The blue STP (which *is* made by Champ) is at least still US-made for the time being, and the S8316 is a fairly solid filter for short OCI's (OE or less) (the 8316 is for Ford's Zetec engine), but the rest of the STP blue line consists of cheap Ecores.

Yeah, please check out the few here that myself and others have cut open. I don't think they are worth the $8.99
Yeah I posted pics with lots of burrs on the tapping plate near the inlet holes which would be problematic for Adbv seal as well as an overall reflection of trying to pass mid grade stuff off as high end
Isn't the name of this filter an oxymoron?
These filters seem to have the same retail price as Fram Ultra, but with the STP name? Good luck with that.
