I get a lot of water in my oil as the block has hairline cracks at the floor of the water jacket. Eventually I'll try a couple inches of bloc fill to fix it.

For now various stop leaks keep it under control. But when sitting for a long time it gets the drip drip.

I built a water trap by replacing the drain plug with a 12mm hose barb fitting. A high temp clear hose about 2' long attaches to that. 3/8 over barb and 7/8 over the 3/8 to get a bigger tube that will hold more water. I guessing about 1/2 cup. Then a barbed 1/4 turn valve at the end of the hose. Before I take a ride I'll visually inspect the hose for water/antifreeze and drain off if necessary. Like they do on airplane gas tanks before flight.

If you're running anything other than straight water for coolant, you'll still trash the motor pretty [censored] fast. Any residue from antifreeze is like sandpaper to the bearings and the glycol will clog up the oil filter pretty [censored] fast.
