I put mine down the toilet.

The only center that takes it is open 1 day every other week for 4 hours. Impossible to get to.
Its 30miles away.. and sometimes they are full.
After trying 3x to dispose of it.. the bottle started leaking so I flushed it.

As mentioned it breaks down during the sewage treatment.

I probably average a gallon every 4 years or so.

Hazardous waste disposal programs are expanding, thank heavens.

A junk yard near me was courteous enough to drain their cars' systems into drums with varying cleanliness levels.
It was cheaper for them to see you cart it away than pay for the "tanker" to come by.

They liked me and gave me all the GM 14" wheels (with rubber) I could carry. I never bought tires for that car ('76 Nova). Kira

Where I live you can bring it to Household Hazardous Waste Recycling 10 AM to 1 PM Mondays only in April through September. Proof of county residence is required.

None of the national chain auto parts places nor Walmart TLE will accept it here.

I take my coolant to the transfer station in town. They have a big tank just for antifreeze, right next to the big tank for used oil. I take my used oil there, too.
