Ford Approved Coolants ?

A relative just bought a clean '97 Mercury Sable (V6 Vulcan) ... First Ford product in the family - eveything is in very good shape at 86K miles except the cooling system could use flushing and new coolant added . I have no idea what is the appropriate coolant to use in Ford vehicles ? Thanks in advance !

It is regular green coolant that we have always used.
