I have had my trusty blower for nearly 7 years now. Always Stihl 2-cycle oil in the proper mix with 89 octane gas, along with a dose of Stabil.
Zero issues, ever.

Last time I went to use it, it starts up as always but now a steady stream of smoke out of the muffler. That was NEVER the case before. Also, once warmed up, I cannot WOT or it bogs down.
I searched around online and universally the symptoms point to the spark arrestor being clogged with carbon. I removed mine and while the screen is black, it is COMPLETELY clean and clear.

Can't figure out what happened.

Agreed...sounds like the diaphragm in the carburetor has stretched over time and needs replacing. Most small carbs for these little 2 strokes can be bought for around $20 dollars...so its easy to replace.
