Garmin used to make something similar for a lot less, but I think they've discontinued it now.
What I find good is that it can be used with any car that has an OBD-II port. So it could be a nice add-on.

I remember that - it was a lot smaller, though, and had none of the syncing of apps / phones that this thing has...

That looks like a neat device. Independent of the windshield which is nice.
I am really torn about this thing...
right now it's $299. It will go up to near $500 once promotional period ends...

It will tank and be $100 or less soon thereafter or copied if decent.
My guess a service or subscription fee of some sort is involved (soon) because you don't make money selling hardware....
