First UOA on my '06 Explorer. I bought it with 152k miles. Oil drained at 155k was VWB which probably explains the sodium. Been running the SuperGard ever since. No makeup oil in this sample, but if I recall it may have been down about 1/2 quart. (6 qt sump)

It has a paper air filter, I plan to change that at 170k.

For how cheap this stuff can be had, it's not looking too bad. Wear looks ok to me and the TBN isn't too bad. Maybe an OCI of 7.5k is ok?

Huh your SI is higher than mine with a K&N. Just curious if kn bashing is as blown out of proportion as thinner is better on this site?

I can't find the SuperGard oil in my area right now. I use to be able to find it and the Kendall years ago, but now nobody stocks it. Is it a synblend?

Yes, the 5W-20 and 5W-30 are SynBlend.
