What wrench is out there for the tiny Subaru oil filters that are smaller than the "small" oil filter wrenches that go down to 2 3/4".

The hard part is finding a store that has a proper selection of quality tools but They are out there.

I got an inexpensive one at AutoZone a couple of years ago, for our 2011 Subaru. I took the filter with me to make sure it would snug down correctly. Ended up with the one that is spring-loaded to grip as it tightens.

Ive been using larger DIAMETER filters on the Nissan Rogue, which came with a ridiculous "fuel filter" sized filter. The Honda pcx-004 and the excellent Hyundai/Kia #2630025503.

Our Subaru has the filter up top so no need for a wrench unless you over-tightened a flat gasket filter.

Know that N/A engined Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Kia and Hyundai's large 4 cyl all use the "same" filter with only differing outer diameter, height and concomitant internal volume. The gasket ID and the thread are the same.
