Wow. My 2013 Chevy Silverado had green valve caps from the factory. Figured it was an identifier that it was using TPMS valves. Didn't matter. Any time I aired the tires, they got good 'ol farm air from my air compressor. Same for my 2015 2500HD. I also agree... I'll take the high concentration of nitrogen in the atmosphere already for free.

The green caps are ugly, too.
Of course, up here, I think of them as a sign of a sucker.
I top off the tires with regular air without worry. Now I know even better that the nitrogen fill is practically pointless but I never paid extra for it.
