Bought a 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV. 2,600 miles on it. The market on these cars is absolutely nuts. Most of the 2012's were leased, those cars are coming back from lease. The cheap gas prices and limited range of an electric car have pounded the resale. My car had a sticker price of $35k, I bought it for $8200 out the door. I drive 5 miles each way to work, my employer has charging stations to use for free. Figured this is a way to save some money and see how it goes. The battery has a 8 year,100k warranty. I will save around $1k per year in gas at $2.50/gallon, and I think gas is going to go back up. The car will pay for itself in 8 years or so. Work also has a "green" focus, so this gives me some green points too. It will be fun to park this car by the Chevy Volts and Hybrid Ford Fusions that people paid $25k+ for....
This car was sold in March, 2014, so most of the original warranties are in effect. I have bumper to bumper coverage until March, 2017.
Thankfully I have 2 other gas cars yet, my oil stash is around 100 quarts!!
