They should also consider providing numbers for Castrol LL-03 for U.S. market.
Since they put out PDS for 5W40 I was hoping they will put for Castrol C3 5W30 and not just min and max numbers.
I am buying probably BMW X5 35d, and until Castrol provides numbers, Mobil1 5W30 ESP in my choice. Granted, if Catsrol provides better numbers
Not sure the numbers are completely relevant, VW changed the 504 507 engine test list recently and introduced new engines including the Lambo V10.
The C3 (502 50501) and LL03 (504 507) are different products.
Yeah I know they are different. My point is that for some oils Castrol offer numbers like HTHS or NOACk, but for some it does not. Lack of PDS is not just recent, it always stated min 3.5cp. So it is not VW, it is Castrol that is hiding numbers. This is like Auto Bild's response to VW cheating: others did too.
So what is that Castrol does not want us to see?
I mean I am using 0W40, and using it only bcs of better cold pumpability and little bit better smoothness over M1, but I also know numbers. If I could not see HTHS there is no way I would use it over M1. When it comes to transparency, it is like they do not want people to know what they packing. And it is hard to be worst in transparency then XOM, but Castrol is.
