Is that so??? How come 45 years ago I was buying same cap at dealer for '67 428 Shelby???
Plus as I already mentioned my '67 Falcon used same painted version of this cap, sorry I'm gonna believe what I've seen...
Dealers will sell you whatever they have on hand. We did when I worked a Ford parts counter in the mid 1970's.
All '67 Shelbys received the CA emissions package, as they came fro the San Jose assembly plant and were then shipped to the Shelby facility at LAX. they got the closed PCV breather. It's OK to remember history differently than what actually happened. Don't let it keep you up nights.
