Delo 15W-40, 17,017 mi, 02 GMC 2500HD Duramax

The Delo 400 LE for sample dates 9/5/15 and 5/2/14 is the same oil. This is an extended OCI for 2 OLM cycles. I now have Rotella T6 in as I prefer the easier cranking of the 5w40 over the 15w40 during the late fall, winter, and early spring months where this truck get used the most, i.e. hunting truck. It does however from time to time tow an auto transport trailer when the Audis need servicing.

I intend to stick with a 2 OLM OCI cycle.

All wear and data shows it is completely normal and perfect proof that longer OCIs in time and miles is doable and safe. So typically boring, in a good way.

Some would call you a heretic, but this shows your choice was sane and safe and thrifty; the trifecta!


I would have expected nothing less; it's a Dmax after all ...

Nice, im planning to use this oil in my Toyota. Seems like it will be a good choice given its the cheapest HDEO oil i can find and a very robust one with a good add pack.
