I found some 2010 date code 0W40 SM in a shop. Price is very good, do you think it will be ok in cars in my sig (barchetta or colt)? Month is not lisible, but before september since first number us a 0.

Absolutely no problem running a 0w-40 year round. And m1 0w-40 is among the best lubricants available at any price so by all means stock up if you can get it cheaply

No problem regarding date? I'm used to more recent SN M1

Mobil 1 is amongst the most expensive oils on this side of the pond. Castrol however got a good deal more expensive the last few years and rivalsM1 for the title...

Just some follow up info in this topic: current fill is Castrol Magnatec 5W40 in a 2001 VOLVO S60 turbo (linear 5 cylinders, 2 liters), but thinking on changing to this very strong add pack containing oil at next oil change.

Only issue: no API SN, only grade SM available here.
(Another good alternative is Castol Edge Titanium 0W40 FST - or keeping the well performing Castrol Magnatec one.)

Castrol Edge 0W40 would be much better option then Magnatec.
Edge is Group IV oil, Magnatec is GrIII.

In Germany that oil is sold as Full Synthetic. You cannot sell oil in Germany under 'full synthetic" label if it does not contain 50%+ of base oil that is either PAO or Ester.
We are getting same oil here. Also, pour point indicates PAO base.
For example Mobil1 sells M1 0W40 in Germany as SHC oil, while in the U.S. it sells as Full Synthetic.
That is not to say that HC oils are bad, or that M1 with its VISOM base is bad, but my point was that in Castrol hierarchy Magnatec falls below Edge. It uses cheaper mineral base stocks, while Edge is using PAO. As far as I heard, M1 is also returning to PAO for 0W40.
