Harbor Freight Trailer..best wheel bearing grease?

I use Mobil 1 in my Harbor Freight trailer. I've had the trailer since ~2000 or so.

I have replaced the Chinese bearings with Timken parts and new seals due to pitting on the Chinese bearings. I use the trailer for the following:

Mulch and compost (Heaviest loads)
Lawn and garden rental equipment (dethatchers and core aerators)
Quads and MC's
Building materials for hobby stuff like plywood, lumber, unistrut

I try to repack the bearings every 1-2 years depending on the usage I am planning. Sometimes I just reuse the seals but I always have a spare set and a bearing in the spare bin in case I want to take a longer trip.

Since your bearings are new, definitely clean the goop that comes on the bearing completely with brake cleaner and dry completely prior to packing with grease. DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR TO DRY THE BEARING because it can spin and explode in your hand.

Get a cotter pin assortment from HF since you'll be using new ones every time you repack. I use a repacking tool like Oro_O linked which you can buy locally or online like Amazon. It's so easy that way.

Read this for guidance on how to properly load the bearing:
