The m1 ep is a long drain oil capable of 15000 miles easily in most applications.
If you aren't extending the interval then use whichever is cheapest.

Non-turbo Sonata with 7500 OCI, any synthetic would be good as long as most trips are more than 5-10 miles. Buy any name brand synthetic based on price.

Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5W-20 is $21.97 for a 5 quart jug at my local Walmart.
Castrol Magnatec 5W-20 is $18.74 for a 5 quart jug at my local Walmart.
Castrol Magnatec in 5W-20 is a full synthetic.
As you can see Mobil 1 EP is a more expensive oil than QSUD and Magnatec. Since you are going to go max 7500 mile OCI, go with Magnatec as it is the least expensive. The money you save can be used to purchase a Fram Ultra oil filter.

Mobil1 EP is best oil of the two. Any oil that can go 15k miles has to use better basestocks + additives.
Both oils will keep your motor running strong pretty much forever
For what you want to do, buy whichever is less costly.
That'll generally be QSUD, but current deals and the MIR on M1 may make M1 EP cheaper.
For the OCI you plan to run, either oil should be just fine.
Neither will likely be superior in your use, although M1 EP does have more Grp IV content without doubt, if that even matters.

That 15K miles only applies to ideal conditions. And who's to say that QSUD can't make it to 15K miles under such ideal conditions as well?

Go pennzoil ultra platinum with a fram ultra.
Apples & oranges comparison ... One is a regular drain interval synthetic oil and one is an extended . **Unless you plan to use a long drain synthetic oil filter capable of going 15,000 miles I would skip the consideration of M1 EP as you are over - paying for something you don't need .
