I'm excited to see Rossi race for Manor! Didn't the last American on the grid give up a place in the final corner to Hamilton to hand him the championship? Maybe this one will end his dominance... by chance of course, not because Manor is going to win

Thanks for this once again!

Klutch9, well, you never know, there could be around 20 DNFs, and Manor could get really lucky. As for DNFs, I wonder if they're going to fit a cow catcher on Pastor's car for this race. It might be a sensible precaution; that, or wrap it in bubble wrap.

Let's hope that Rossi is more on his game than Scott Speed was. Red Bull invested over $30 Million in his career and it went nowhere. They got rid of him for a young Sebastian Vettel and look at what happened.

No.

I'm keen to see how Rossi can do too.

Did anyone else have a problem with the qualifying this morning? I recorded it but only got half way through Q2 and the program ended! I just wondered if it was something I did wrong.

I will have to check my recording, shows it is 90 minutes in duration. Watching the TUDOR race at the moment. I checked my DVR list and I forgot I set it to record any instance of "Auto Racing" also it is recording anything related to the Rugby World Cup, somehow qualifying is farther down the queue than it should be.

Yes, I did. The first hour was 2 infomercials. Then the qualifying. I have TIVO, and it always tells me it's a live event, and could possibly run over. It then asks if I want to add an hour. I always do in case of rain. This time it paid off. I had to fast forward an hour to get to it, but I got it all..... Just barely.

I won't tell you the starting order, but Mercedes has big time chassis / tire problems.

I was in Singapore watching the F1 parade, but after Lewis dropped out it got too boring so I decided to pop down for a beer and some rojak, then took a shortcut but got lost in the haze and suddenly found myself wandering along the racetrack. I think Seb might have flipped me off. But I found a hole in the fence to escape through, so no harm, no foul, right?

Well, turns out by the time they escorted me all the way back to the security booth, there was already some old sweaty clown dressed in all red sitting in there smoking nervously and crying not to be caned, so instead they made him write a two page letter of apology for his other clown friends who had apparently also got lost like me.

I recorded the race on my DVR, and got all but the last 2 laps. Very frustrating case of racius interruptus. Guess I should have programmed it for that extra 1/2-hour.

Perhaps only thing missed was the VER radio call that he wouldn't swap places.
But if you read the driver's quotes afterwards they explained way more what happened and what they were thinking anyway.
