So while helping the pm techs; did a oil change in older Ford Focus wagon. This filter was on with sticker in windshield saying they used QS 5w20. Around 5,500.2 if my memory is right. Enjoy the pics and one picture says "made in Mexico". Thought this may be a wix by the ADBV but I won't ASSume anything.

Thank you bigt61, and sorry for posting same photos twice folks. Rough, and very long 13 hr day

I have a PRIME GUARD off unknown vehicle to cut and a QS filter to hack. QS filter doesn't have date code that I could see

Stay tuned gang

Tec Select are Purolator knockoffs. Like Group 7s, Promotives, etc. I am running one currently that I will pop also. This one looks like it held up well. Also looks like the engine must be really clean.

ChevyBadger: do u know if yours is "made in Mexico" version? The base plate looked kinda like a FRAM one to be honest; except the holes were rectangular. Thank you ChevyBadger ;-)

I am not sure if mine were made in Mexico, honestly didnt even look. I will be taking it off next week so I will post it up and let you know. Mine has a definite Puro baseplate.

What else does it say on the can? In the 2nd photo is looks like "GA" (zipcode 300??) for Georgia? The bypass valve certainly looks like Purolator's.

Zee0six: it's gone in the filter dumpster now. It said distributed by xxxx out of Norcross GA is what I do remember
