wiper blade replacement 06 lacrosse

I am at my wits end..I cannot fiqure out how to repalce the old wiper...the arm does not seen to want to bend back far enough to slide the old blade off...is their a trick...completly differnt set up from my lucerne

I recently dealt with this on my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, which has the same issue of the wiper blade not being able to be pulled back more than a few inches from the windshield. This should help: http://www.ezwipers.com/wipers/Buick/LaCrosse/2006/change. It's all in the release clip.

If the arm is being blocked by the hood and won't bend up, turn the ignition on and turn on the wiper blades. When the blades are in the vertical position or "mid wipe" turn off the key. You will now be able to bend the arm back. This worked for older W bodies I used to work on, maybe yours is similar.
