Here is the second UOA of my transfer case. I'm rather puzzled by the 1% insolubles. I do not think it is due to oxidation at only 4K miles. Plus, viscosity is normal, and TAN is normal. The oil looked very clean when I drained it, as I would expect after only 4K miles. Plus, I hardly used 4WD at all. I was planning to take the newly installed fill 30,000 miles, but with insolubles this high, I am not sure what to make of it. Comments?
