After almost 2 months of ownership, I like my Q50. Magazines can call the 3.7 outdated or whatever they want, but I don't put much stock in what the "experts" say.

As far as I'm concerned, if I'm shopping for myself, I am the only expert.

People don't have a clue. The motor makes as much power as any other V6 out there, but over a wider RPM range. What other V6 in a sedan is revving to 7500 rpm? The 3.7 is awesome, and it was ahead of its time. It's only been out since 09 I believe. Not even that old.

Yep, that meant a lot more back in 1984 than it does now.

The VR38DETT is not GDI and it is durable. There were at least 15 other non-GDI turbo engines that Nissan made and were durable.

Nissan has an Awesome GDI in their lineup. The VK56VD 5.6 liter V8 that powers the QX80 SUV, formerly the QX56, as well as the Q70 Sedan formerly known as the M56.

Nissan can make their own 4 cylinder, but they have a partnership with Mercedes. These Mercedes engines will be built in a Nissan Tennessee plant so Nissan definitely has their hands in this engine.

I said GDI+Turbo

I didn't say anything about NA GDI engines.

True. I missed that. My mistake.
