Ok. I know the cranberry Porsche is a 911 of some sort, but I know not a lot about the 911. It's obviously way older than a 996 or 997. Why does "993" come to mind. But. It has Turbo badging. Anyone? (Year? Trim? How do we know?)

And what car is above it? It appears to be a BMW by the wheels. It looks like it's gettign ready to be restored, or built. Is it a 2002?

And do shops always do that with cars? That lift has held many a high-end car..

Thanks.

There are so many body kits for wealthy dentists to turn their auto shifty 911s into race car look alikes that only a real Porsche expert can tell which is which.

It appears to be a 930 turbo but not positive. My neighbor has a late 70's one he restored from a burned out hulk into a brand new one.

That's way older than a 993...

It's pre-1990

But it seems newer than a 1981 SC.

(I think. I need to look again.)

**EDIT: It may have been some kind of 1981 SC. They look the same..

I don't know Porsches very well. Other cars, yea. Porsches? No..

Meh. Eye of the beholder...

I know that particular generation of Supra is highly prized and an extremely capable performer (I've been in the room when one laid down a 700 HP chassis dyno pull), but I have to say I laughed out loud the first time I saw one back in the day. My first thought, and I'm dead serious, was 'it looks like the illegitimate love child of a Plymouth Superbird and a VW Beetle.'

I love that red Supra!! Looks like they're restoring one on the lift as well. I've been on the hunt for a 91-93 3000GT. I'm wanting to get a 2nd car for a playtoy. I've had two of them and I just love the way they drive. Perfectly engineered imo.
