IME the weight is not a help in a high horsepower car. Too easy to just light the tires up and go nowhere. Just takes a few passes to get the feel for the particular conditions at your dragstrip.
IMO any sixty under 2.0 is pretty good for the part timer who is just having fun in street tires...
