I know my locals owner, and have been to other's
He uses the same local parts supplies as the other independents, I think the only hip jointed branding is the Valvoline oil and Goodyear/Kelly tires.
The rest is down to the owner (franchisee)
He's put a 400S on my Vulcan V6, but a Wix cartridge in my 3.6 Pentastar
