I'm pretty sure the Fram Ultra costs more than the Napa Gold.
I know it does for my cars' applications.
With that being said, "I am liking the Lexus LS460 more than the Chevrolet Aveo."

Not a "red herring". I heard it with my own ears on the phone with WIX Tech Dept ... they stand firm on their claim of 50% @ 20 microns. Give them a call yourself if you don't believe it. Their phone number is on the WIX website.
Per WIX, it's designed that way for long OCIs. Yet other full synthetic filters can go longer and filter almost twice as good ... so that's what doesn't add up with some when comparing the XP/Platinum filter with other full synthetic oil filters.
