More pop up ads here than on a porn site.

I don't have any experience with "porn" sites (I assume from your title that you're quite familiar with them). However, I don't get any popups here. I would suspect an issue with your machine rather than an issue with BITOG.
Perhaps those porn sites you're so familiar with have caused issues.

You should, in the future, investigate blackholing advertisement connections

http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

I haven't done the windows implementation, but I have done the linux implementation (which appears to be 50x less complex than on windows) and 30,000+ advertising hosting sites are instantly blackholed by redirecting the advert requests to you own computer where it immediately fails.

The method utilizes standard windows functionality; it is just data that is loaded, no program. HTH.

No ads or pop-ups here at all. I use U-Block, NoScript and use an additional pop-up blocker. It sounds like your machine caught some Adware. Run Adware Cleaner or similar.

no pop ups here. I only run Windows defender on my machine and i've never had and issue in 4 years.

I don't play online games or look at questionable material, however.

The only adds I see are banner adds.

None here as well.

In addition to what was stated before, I suggest you run SpyBot and MalwareBytes Anti-Malware software.

Many questionable sites download and run crud in the background anytime you log into them.

I never see a single one...

No "popups" for me either but there are ad banners unless you use some type of blocker such as AdBlockPlus.

Does sound like the OP has some type of infection that is causing it. I would do a Virus Scan and then download and run Malwarebytes, remove everything it finds, and then check back.

No need for punctuation condoms; you can type porn without catching anything.

I've heard that happening before. Get off those porn sites!
