I have only found threads of people bickering about what type of fluid you can use. What fluid can you use? Does it have to be the FL22 fluid? I have heard that the motorcraft green and the peak extended performance are the same fluid? Can you help explain? I dont want to screw the car up, but the mazda fluid is so expensive.

Thanks

Valvoline Zerox ASIAN fluid after a complete flush. The F22 is a 10 year 120,000 mile fluid, so why are you changing it so early? Ed

There should not be an issue using FL22 in that car.
I plan on doing flush every 60k on my 14 '3 with FL22.

If you dont care about the warranty Zerox ASIAN is good as eddie mentioned. I also really like Penzoil . Low silicate and only 17 bux for the concentrate. I have ran that in all my previous cars no cooling part failure except for hose at 180k.

I like to use Mazda stuff wherever possible for any warranty issues in the future and also anything skyactive is a bit unique and if Mazda incorporated that into their products, its worth the price.

I used PGL in my wifes 08 2.0 at 100k miles. It has 165K on it now.
