As it seems, if you're not leaking there is no need for it. I cannot find the thread I had saved about something about the seals. It kinda made sense what he was saying, but I cannot remember in detail what was said.

Thanks.

Let's put it this way. You are certainly free to use a high mileage oil on an engine that doesn't leak, or is brand new, for that matter. People have been doing it for a long time, and many current HM oils are SN/GF-5. For someone who just needs a conventional over a short OCI, it might be overkill. For someone who needs a dexos1 oil, something like MaxLife would be a bargain, instead.

Treat that engine good like you're doing and it will last a long time. There is a Sentra with something like 324,000 miles for sale in Clinton, TN on govdeals. Pretty incredible car to go that distance, the car is a seizure and they always have been mistreated.

We have 5 Sentras at my job that are courier cars. They are between 07-09 models. The lowest mileage is 290k and the most is almost 350K. All have zero oil burning issues.
The CVT was the weak link with these cars.

Thanks guys. No CVT in my wifes car.
The only issue she may have had ( which is remedied now ) is the pre-cat failure that the 02-05 suffered. I think I caught it in enough time though.
