Merkava: I believe air compressors use ND-30 oils as this stuff IS a detergent oil not non-detergent
So what to do with old Pennzoil HD-40??

In spite of what the chart indicates, there was no such classification as SA, SB & SC until late 1960s, prior there were ML, MM & MS that were more or less equal to SA, SB & SC... Many engines of the mid 50s were listed as being OK to use MM(SB) oils(PQIA po po SB after 1951, fact is, most 1952 engines were no different than 1951)...
