Because when I opened the box to look at the filter, it said CA3906WM on it, the WM at the end most likely meaning Walmart. So, are these cheaper or different than Fram air filters old elsewhere?

I opened a couple other different part numbers (both standard Fram air filters, including CA4309), and they did not have the WM at the end.

Yeah, but it's not marked as such on the box, only on the filter inside after you open it. On the shelf, online, etc, they look the same.

The scamming sucks though!

This kind of reminds me how the fram ch9911 (for some vw engines) had multiple versions, some made in germany and some made in china. You'd often see them on the same shelf next to each other.
