I'm just curious, does anyone know what the oil flow rate is in a standard Harley twin cam? I just realized I haven't the slightest idea. Is it similar to a run of the mill car (which I also don't know)?

I looked in a couple books by Peterson and all I found was pressure ratings....no flow rates.
Pressure is 35 psi at 235 degrees temp at 2000 rpm for the TC 88. The 96 is rated the same but has more volume as stated above.

I'll dig deeper and see if I can find anything....unless someone beats me to it.

I was looking for that info for a Sportster engine a while back, never found anything about the Sportster but did find this on the Twin Cam:

Flip through the photos for additional info (850 rpms is lower than stock idle speed)

We used a graduated cylinder and a watch to see how much oil flowed through the stock pump in 60 seconds. At cold idle (850 rpm), the pump circulated 8 ounces of oil; when hot, it pumped zero ounces at idle. Once the motor was warm, we saw a 18.5-oz flow at 2,500 rpm.
