What are the tire and wheel options for new dually 3500s?
The best one could do with the stock 17" wheels is Cooper 255/80/17s which are 33s.

19.5s, if I can find wheels is another option as 245/70/19.5s are just over 33".
Larger 265/70/19.5s would be nice, but require 19.5 X 7.5 wheels.

I saw an F450 with 22.5s and a Bandag BDRW tread that looked awesome, but that would be too much un-sprung weight for the GM front end.
(You know there is a problem when your tire passes you on the highway.)
Any ideas?

Re-tread BDR-AS from www.bandag.com (Cal-Tire here) for 245/70/19.5
would cost about $160.00 each.
Where can I find 19.5 wheels for the new 8 bolt GMC pattern?

Rickson wheel mfg. in Maryland makes custom conversion wheels to install 19.5 on many trucks including your 3500. Think they are pricey though, but made in USA and good quality.

Do you have any idea how badly 19.5" tires are going to ride?

If you want it to ride like an empty grain truck, then go right ahead. The things that people will do for image, and nothing more.

Gee, I rode 11,338 shifts so far on steel wheels.

If I get another SRW, I have a winter set of 275/65/20s on their own 9X20 wheels.
With the 17s on the DRW, I won't get out of my driveway.

My image is the reflection in the mirror, quite disgusting, but I've seen it worse.
