Air Compressor oil level ?

I got acquired a well used 2 cylinder, 1HP compressor on a 14 gallon tank. It's a Sanborn / Magna Force 64A100-14. I've located a pdf of the manual, but all it states is to check the oil, change it every 50 hours, and don't overfill or underfill it. There is no sight window, dipstick, or level line on the unit. Right now the oil is in between the drain and fill plugs. Do I fill it to the bottom of the fill plug, or somewhere lower?

I have a 1 cylinder, 3HP Sanborn. The dipstick is part of the fill plug on mine. Full is about half way from drain to fill. HTH

If it has a screw plug, fill it to the bottom of the plug. My compressor uses a straight 20 weight, non detergent oil.
