Huh? 1.1 quarts is 35.2 US Fluid Oz. 1 Liter is 33.8 US Fluid Oz.

Where do you get 1.8 oz from?

1 US Qt = 32 US Ounces
1Liter = 33.8 US Ounces
Difference is 1.8 ounces.

Comment was that in this discussion, a liter between hi/lo or a quart between hi/lo marks is essentially the same.

QPete was just rounding off the liter/US Qt ratio. It is actually 1.056688209 US Liquid quarts to a liter.
