So sad to wake up to the news of Buddy passing. NASCAR lost one of their greats today, hopefully he gets in the Hall of Fame next year. It would be cool if someone did the Grey Ghost paint scheme in the next couple weeks for him.

I remember Buddy Baker driving the K&K Dodge in the 60's. K&K was a small local insurance company in Charlotte, NC. IIRC he was the first Nascar driver to exceed a 200 mph average for a lap at Talladega driving a Hemi Dodge Daytona for Cotton Owens. I always looked at him as the John Wayne of Nascar. Great driver as well as announcer after retiring. RIP Buddy.

He and Bobby Isaac were my favorites back then.
