It's going to be another series were the organizing body designs the cars.

I'd rather see a series where the teams design the cars. Give the teams a minimum weight and a restricter plate and let them have at it, any chassis configuration and any engine and drive line.

That makes sense in a way.

I'm sure F2 will be used primarily to vet drivers for F1.

What better tool than a series where the driver is the singular unknown.

Agree. Follow the WEC for true race car innovation and engineering.

It's a feeder series. How many team would participate if it cost as much as F1?

Back in the eighties sometime, when during the turbo era it became F3000 using NA 3 litre V8's.

I think that the last one that I attended would have been about 1983/4.
